James Nelson is a retired attorney who provided in-house transactional and governance advice to a large multinational group of companies for 17 years. He also worked 20 legislative sessions at the Hawaii State Capitol as a committee attorney and bill analyst.

He is a graduate of Princeton University and the Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
